What is LGBTQWrimo?
LGBTQWriMo is a hashtag challenge that stands for LGBTQ Writing Month, playing off of NaNoWriMo’s National Novel Writing Month. Founded by Amara Lynn in 2018 and cohosted often by yours truly, it is a way for LGBTQ+ authors to find author friends and future readers while they work on their NaNoWriMo projects!
Is It Affiliated with NaNoWriMo?
Nope! This is a completely separate thing. We just use people’s excitement about NaNoWriMo to help them find us and get their words in!
How Can I Participate?
However you like! Amara and I are on Twitter, Instagram and Tiktok with these prompts. We have it set up so that the prompts go up daily on Twitter, and three times a week on instagram/tiktok because we know more effort is required for content for those platforms.
However, you are welcome to do the daily prompts on any platform you wish! Just use the hashtag, tag us and have fun!
